Rinse the filter briefly under clean water before first use and then place it into your Freshflow.
We recommend removing the filter about every 3–4 days to rinse off accumulated hair or dirt under clean water.
Depending on use, one filter can be used for up to one month. For consistently good filtration performance, however, we recommend replacing it every 2–3 weeks. The used filter should then be discarded and replaced with a new one.

Small recommendation: For the warranty, I wouldn’t mention that a filter that has already been used for several weeks is covered by a standard 24-month wear-and-tear warranty. The wording about damage upon delivery or material defects fits a consumable product much better.

Bruno had two bladder infections in a row last year. The vet said he was drinking too little water. I set up the FreshFlow 6 weeks ago and now he goes to it on his own. Several times a day. No problems since then. Cleaning it in 30 seconds is also a dream. Nothing like my old plastic fountain that I could never get properly clean.
I went through three different plastic fountains before this. After 2 weeks they all had that slippery film that was almost impossible to get off. The PetLoom is completely stainless steel so nothing really builds up. Three parts. Quick rinse under hot water and done. My two dogs love the flowing water.

Honestly I often forgot to refill the water. Sometimes it sat there for 2 days. After I read that bacteria can build up in it and make dogs sick I felt guilty all the time. Now the water keeps flowing and stays fresh. I only have to refill it every few days. Finally I feel like I'm doing the right thing.
I recently read an article about microplastics in pet bowls. I threw out all four plastic bowls right away. The PetLoom is 100% stainless steel so nothing comes off into the water. My Goldie seems to notice it too. He clearly prefers drinking from it over his old bowl. Premium quality.
